With his final EP marking the close of one chapter, Mikey finds himself standing at the edge of something unfamiliar. There is no perfectly mapped-out next move, no definite answer about where the road leads. There is simply the work, the curiosity, and the belief that whatever comes next is worth discovering.
An artist and creative driven by self-expression, Mikey began creating as a way to turn his experiences into music and visuals people could connect with. Over time, that expression evolved into a larger world — one built around his sound, identity, and WCKDST, his alter ego and clothing brand.
His journey has never been about having everything figured out.
If anything, one of his biggest lessons has been learning to trust his own process.
There have been moments when things did not go according to plan, but those experiences taught him patience, resilience, and the importance of resisting the pressure to become what everyone else is becoming.
“I’m still figuring things out,” he says.
There is no insecurity in that statement. There is freedom.
In a creative world that constantly encourages comparison, Mikey is learning that staying true to himself matters more than keeping pace with someone else’s journey. The goal is not to follow every trend or force himself into an existing mould, but to keep creating until the shape of his own becomes clear.
That philosophy is particularly relevant now.
His final EP represents the closing of a chapter, but not the end of the story. After it, Mikey plans to explore other sides of creativity and continue developing WCKDST, allowing himself the freedom to discover what exists beyond the identity he has already built.
He doesn’t know exactly where that exploration will take him.
And perhaps that is the point.
Over the next few years, Mikey wants to become a more complete creative — not simply an artist, but someone capable of expressing himself across different worlds. He wants to build a strong body of work, grow WCKDST into something meaningful, and create things with enough life to outlast him.
At the centre of it all is a desire for freedom.
Freedom to explore.
Freedom to evolve.
Freedom to create without having to explain every direction.
And his message to anyone standing at their own uncertain crossroads is simple:
The world is yours. Don’t be afraid to bet on yourself.
Sometimes, believing in yourself does not mean knowing exactly where you are going.
